Research experience:

Professor Xiaoping Wang, Director of Key Laboratory of Molecular Biology & Pathology, State Bureau of Chinese Medicine, has over 15 years of research on tumor pathology. He received Ph.D. and M.D. in Fourth Military Medical University of China, specializing in tumor molecular biology & pathology, tumor cell biology and immunology. He also carried out studies on anti-tumor molecular mechanism of Chinese medicine. During recent years, he has published a series of novel and important research findings in the international journals. His research group first presented the interaction between heat shock protein 70 and alpha fetoprotein (tumor embryonic antigen), HBV-x protein and CD44v6 (tumor oncogene) in gastrointestinal carcinomas. Further research verified the relationship between clinicopathology and expression of heat shock proteins' family in the progression and prognosis of gastrointestinal carcinomas. Recent researches confirmed the specific anti-tumor immunity induced by recombined genetic vaccine-heat shock protein 70 and alpha-fetoprotein. The research findings have received high evaluation and several medical science& technology awards in China.
